    wierd movie maker problem

    I want to combine two video files but when i add it to the timeline it shows as an audio file. the file is .avi.

    Have you considered that Movie Maker itself might be the problem? Seriously, you need to get a Mac.

    So are you saying that when you try to add the second video, it shows it as audio only? Or are you saying that they both appear as audio? Can you open them and watch the video?

    Haha, after having to work with macs in our tech center for a film class, I am even more thankful for my Windows laptop...so many hours of useless errors and it just "not" doing things. LT, if you have VLC player installed, open the file that opens as an audio file in movie maker and get the media information and post it, this will give more information for resolving this. You may have to use a program like winavi converter to convert to a wmv file for best compatibility.

    i can open with vlc media player and thats all. both show as audio

    Can you take a screen shot of the Media Information dialog within VLC?
