    will a 4.0gb kingston data traveller flash drive speed up my vista performance with readyboost? i have t7300, 2gigs ram, 8600m gt and inspiron 1520

    ReadyBoost is worthless for most people. It was intended for PCs that cannot upgrade RAM any further.

    If you had 512mb of ram then yes that would be a worthwhile upgrade. But you already have a healthy 2gbs of physical ram, so the extra flash space won't do much.

    Eh, I have what I have in my sig. It speeds up some applications and less spooling to the hard drive but other than that eh, why not it's only 30 bucks.

    Well my experience with ReadyBoost was bad. Not a single change in performance.

    Even on benchmarks on websites, look at the difference , probably 0.2 of a second only.
