    will windows recognize a new wireless card?

    I plan on upgrading to wireless n it seem to be a simple upgrade will windows recognize the card or will I have to download the drivers?

    XP you will have to download.
    Vista may be plug and play.
    7 will be plug and play

    Best bet is having the driver ready and residing on the comp. Then swap the card.

    The general rule of thumb is to install the drivers and any supporting software first, then plug in the device. If it's just a network adapter, you can just plug it in to the computer and let Vista/Windows 7 find the drivers auto-magically. I'm not entirely sure on if XP will find the drivers the same way.
