Bought x205ta in USA just before departing for UK. Did not have time to check ít out. @ key is on "2" key but shift only gives " @ is totally missing. Where is this symbol as computer is a piece of junk without ít. Very umimpressed with Asus quality control.

Check the keyboard settings in Windows, the actual labels on the key mean nothing if the layout in software is different than the originally printed layout. The printed layout on the keyboard is likely set to US qwerty, but in software it may be something else. Oh and try Ctrl Alt 2.

Given that the computer was purchased in the US, the printed layout is the standard US one, so this isn't really a quality control issue. It looks like the OS was setup with the UK keyboard.

This particular problem was always good for a laugh when internet cafes were more popular while traveling. You don't realize how much you use symbols and such until you're trying to write out an email quickly with a different keyboard!

Could be worse, at least both are qwerty, try using an azerty when you're used to qwerty. :p
