Hiya, I just had a few questions on improving win7 performance...

    Using Win7 RC build 7100.

1.) I'm using an OCZ Vertex SSD.. and from the push of the power button to the login screen is >=30 seconds. I think I've seen people get much lower. do I need to enable something or tweak some settings somewhere?

    2. & 3.)

    >> Currently Using 186.03 Drivers , Win 7 x64

2.) GPU doesn't downclock when not in use.... so the fan is always on and idle temps are 75-80* C. Is there a driver out that fixes this problem?? ( 8800M GTX )

3.) GPU Temps hit 95*C while playing crysis( before i shut the game down ). In vista it hit 90*C max... I regularly clean the vents also .

Any help would be nice.. thanks.

bootup times are also dependent on how long the system POST takes, and devices to initialize. I'm not much faster with an indilinx ssd than your's.

Make certain you have the latest firmware for your SSD—OCZ is improving this regularly.
