hello, intel brought a new firmwire update (which should now work without problems). this will enable trim on the intel postville. my question: will win7 automatically know that trim is now possible and enables & use it?

    thanks :)

Windows 7 always sent out TRIM commands to SSDs. It is up to the SSD devices to understand and allow the command to be executed!

    cheers ...
