    wind + d only on activte monitor

    Hi, i have two monitors and only want to be win + d actually minimizing on the monitor where my mouse atm is.. so the active monitor only.

    Is there a way to do so ?

    using ultramon trial atm but couldnt find any option. Thanks

    Win + D != minimise. It means 'show desktop', which is what it's doing, because your desktop spans both monitors.

    There are various ways to map an actual minimise command to a keyboard shortcut, I think Ultramon does it but not 100% sure as I haven't used it for quite a while.

    In Win 7, Windows Key + the Down Arrow = minimize.

    Left arrow = left side of your screens 50%, right arrow = right side, up arrow = maximize.

    Cheers, been using W7 for several months now & I didn't know that!

    I wish they'd put out a proper, comprehensive change list when they release a new OS, it always takes me about two years before I've managed to find all these useful little shortcuts...

    ye how ever u call thw win + d shortcut.. i want it to be active only on the monitor which i "use" actually :)

    Win + M is the shortcut key combination to minimize all open windows. Unlike Win + D, this is not a toggle; instead use Win + Shift + M to restore all open windows.

    To the OP, I doubt the above is monitor specific - I'm away from my dual monitor machine, so I can't test. You may want to look at AutoHotKey to first build a script to minimize windows based on pointer location, then compile it into a standalone .EXE file.
