    hi there,

    i was cleaning out some old stuff....and i came across my old laptop....i meanold laptop.....i had this sucker like 10 or 12 years ago.....its a toshiba......and i believe its x486 sure of the rest of the specs....i dont think there any os on it write now......i beleive it used to run windows 3.1 then i upgraded it to 95.....and the thing took forever to boot up......like 10 minutes i remeber.....hahahah....anyways....would like to bring it back to life .....if possible......so is there any way of getting hold of 3.1 or 95 again....any suggestions would be great. Thanks

    Ah, the joys of windows 3.1. I have a comtrade p90 notebook. I used to run dos 6.22 on it.
    Now enough of the memories.
    I know that windows 3.1, dos, and windows 9x are all now offically unsupported by microsoft. You cannot buy them from microsoft, but they are still licensed so they are not abondonware yet.
    For 3.1 you can get it off the internet. Use google.
    But for windows 95, try looking for old machines, or just ask around computer geeks should have dozens of those cds lying around.

    I just bought win 3.11 and dos 6.0 on ebay for 15 buck canadain.....I hope its legit.
