alright, i've been having this problem ever since i upgraded to windows 7. (im not going back to vista so dont even suggest it) but when im watching a tv show or movie or whatever in VLC, every so often it stutters and the audio kinds of skips around whenever vuze is running.

i just upgraded to 2x500 gb 7200.4 seagate drives running in raid 0, but it also did this on my 2x320 gb western digital drives running in raid 0.

any suggestions on what to do? its really starting to annoy the out of me.

Increasing the ms cached should help.

Go to Tools, preferences and select Input&Codex

Then select Higher Latency for Caching and press save

I think it changed the value anyway. Is the problem fixed?

You can also try going to advanced or All mode as VLC calls it. Then find Input method File and see what it says there. Should be around 2000.

    Under 'Input/Codes' , 'Access Modules' , 'File'

If that doesnt fix it then I don't know whats wrong. I am using the same version and do not have any problems. I use uTorrent and not Vuze but still there should not be a bottle neck with your system.

You should try posting in the VLC developer forum I think. Check if its a known bug or not.

Have you tried a different player? Try playing your files with GoM player or Windows media player.

seems to have minimized the issue, except for the fact that i set it to 5000 ms for the cache as it was still just as bad with a 2000 ms cache.
