I'm having some problems backing up Windows 7. I used to be able to do so. But now I can't. Any ideas?

System restore to a time where the backup feature worked?

Thanks. So Windows doesn't sit well with Linux (containing the bootloader Grub2) on the same hdd. Yeah, this happened right after I added Vista (which I removed after being fed up with it) and upgraded Ubuntu. If that's the case then I refuse to get rid of Linux. I'll give Paragon a go and forgo Window's backup utility.

Btw am I missing out on anything from SP1? I can't install it because I'm using Grub2 as the bootloader.

Did you try doing the backup with the anti-virus prog turned off or temporarily disabled? Try it.

I did. Didn't work. It might work if Windows 7 had the whole hard drive to itself, but that aint happening. I'm using Paragon so it's fine.
