i bought the star trek bluray wich comes with a digital copy i can upload to my laptop.
when i try to install it windows media player prompts me that it will install a security update for the digital copy to unencrypt and run.
i was searching for info on what exactly this security update is and does and its effect on my existing media files.
any of you have an idea?

The digital copy idea would be great but they totally destroyed it with drm. :(
All i could think of is that the update checks that you own the movie so you can view it in Windows Media Player.
