Hello I'm looking for a program that will control the order of programs at boot/ startup to allow quicker boots with user able to control which program start in what order without having to completely disable the programs. I found start-q says it does this but found reviews that it has trojan attatched, very bad. I could buy speedypc, pc mechanic or one of the other softwares that are like this and that sounds ok but I am not sure about which one to use. I have found windows control panel - manager - startup but gives only two choose on or off basically. I want to control program use not disable it and control background programs be able to have programs boot in ordered fashion and put programs to sleep when they are not needed or wanted or after extended idle and be able to wake program up quickly with either quick tab request or automatic with request due to need of programs

Hi skippytech
My name is Sougata and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.
I Would like to provide you information about your problem
You are probably very familiar with the startup programs function of Windows. While you can specify the applications you want to launch at the start of Windows, the ability to control the order in which they start is not available.
WinPatrol is most likely utilities which provide this functionality -features a delay startup control
this function allows you to specify a certain amount of time to wait before opening the respective application.
Please download the WinPatrol from the following link
BillP Studios Download Page
Please find the step by step instruction with pictures on how to use it the following link

You can control most services in the control panel under the administration icon (it's administration something) at the top of the list, find services on the left pane, and then choose from auto start, delayed, manual or disable for individual services in the right pane. For each service you want to change, click on the property and it will give you your choices. You can not select the order but you can get a lot of services to start after the startup using delayed, or manual if it is a service you don't need often. This can save you a ton of time at startup.
