I recently bought Lenovo X300 with 64G SSD. its a great notebook. I tried a few times to use windows vista system restore and it failed on every attempt. Is this because of the SSD?

    I don't think so, but...
Is system restore turned on? What restore points are listed in the System control panel, under System Protection > System Restore? What error messages did it give? Is anything relevant listed under Control Panel > Sys & Maint > Problem Reports and Solutions?

    Is SP1 installed?

Does the system boot? Will the system boot to safe mode?

Is your disk full or nearly full?
