    please help me with this.
i bought an hp pavillion dv6395(with the help of the notebookreview, laptop review forums) with a pre installed vista home OS. there are tons and tons of unecessary softwares preinstalled with the package and mostly are beta editions. i would like to format the harddisk and have a clean partition on my harddrive-160GB. i have been using windows xp bootable in restorring and formating my old laptop and its my first time to use vista as an os.
is it possible to format and create new partitions in the hard drive using the recovery partition or recovery disk provided by vista? so that i can have a clean start without any pre installed blots\?. or do i need to install another software to do the partition?

    thanks.

it is entirely possible to create a partition using the recovery cd. It would be just like using an xp bootable CD to do a fresh install on the system.
