i have a HP dv6500t with windows vista home premium
i just found out that my power options on the bottom right does not change from power saver to high preformance etc.. but if i open it from control panel itll work, it also says no battery is detected when i put on ac power, i thought it should say something like ac is on

and for the network & sharing center, it opens but stays on a blank white screen
i have to use taskmanager to end task it, using connect to a network also does not work, but the internet will work when plugged in
    anyone know whats wrong?
this is the only things i found not working for now

    thx

So what has been done to the OS at this point? Any services turned off, any "tweaks" applied? Any failed updates? Something has obviously happened to the OS at this point. You might be able to use a System Restore Point to get things back to normal.
