What is the differnce between xp home and Professional what new features has Professional than home
And what do you have?![]()

Most people only need Home. Pro adds a few more advanced system administration options, support for multiple processors (Home still supports multiple cores, though), and the ability to join a domain, which most home users don't have a use for. Otherwise, they're basically identical.

well mce am getting that on mt laptop what dose that have i know media thingd but what
List it please -
It's essentially the same as Pro minus the domain-joining ability, but it has the extra media capabilities. I have never used it or anything, so this is just what I've heard. I'm sure Microsoft has a comparison. Have you tried Google? This was the 3rd result for me.

I use Home and it has everything I need. There's really no need for Pro if you'll only use your computer for every home home use. -
The other reason to get either XP Pro or Media center edition is that under MS's Vista Express upgrade program they qualify for an upgrade to either Vista Home Premium(from XP MCE) or Vista Business(XP Pro). The XP Home version only gets you the Vista Home Basic which has too many features missing including Aero.
