    wmp keeps running

    when i close windows media player, it keeps playing. If i hit ctrl+alt+del it isnt in applications, but it is in processes. If i stop the process, it stops.
    but it shouldnt keep playing when i exit it should it?

    what version of wmp?
    were u listening/playing a stream?
    is iTunes being installed on ur system?

    it is wmp 10
    i was just playing a song in the library, so it was playing one song after the next
    itunes is already installed, and wasnt being installed

    I saw that problem with some content from Internet in WMP 11 beta. The newest beta seems to work OK.

    That happened with me when I used WMP10, it's closed from the desktop and it isn't minimized to the system tray but still plays, so I have to manually enter processes and end the task there. I haven't found a way to fix it, but what I normally do when choosing a new album or playlist, I completely close WMP and reopen it because it only seems to happen when it's been playing for a long period of time or a fair amount of different songs.
