I just got a new Gateway laptop a few months ago and it was perfectly fine. I watched a dvd and that is when things started to go downhill. After that, I would log into my account and it wouldn't load past the welcome screen. I was only able to go into safe mode. I was told to disable and then enable drives to find the issue. I did that and it began to work perfectly fine again. While I was in safe mode with networking, I inserted my flash drive to save something. I removed it by safely removing the hardware. I turn off my computer, turn it back on, and I got an error code. I can't exactly rememeber the code, but it mentioned hardware issues and I received the option to either start normally or repair problems. The error code might have been 0xe...something. Sorry, I can't exactly remember. I repaired the problems but was still directed back to the error screen. I started normally and was again directed to the error screen. I went to the setup screen, set all my settings to default and I got another error message and a disk error, I believe and getting the option to press ctrl+alt+delete. This did not work. That message stopped showing and the laptop would load the gateway logo, show a black screen, and briefly a blue screen. It happened so fast, I was not able to read it, but it is not the blue screen that emerges due to a virus. Then it started to restart constantly by itself. Someone please help me. It would be greatly appreciated.
I'm posting this from my phone, btw. Not from the laptop.

I don't think anyone can help you fix your issues from the description of the problems as posted. I commend you typing all that in from a phone. It is always a good idea to let us know what OS you are using when asking for help.
You could try to perform a System Restore from within your Accessories\System Tools folder to a date when your system was working properly, if possible. If that doesn't work, then below.
I don't know what software Gateway provides with a new laptop but if like most manufacturers not much if any. You were probably asked to make a set of restore disc's when you first powered on your laptop a few months ago. Their purpose is to resolve a host of problems such as you are experiencing. I hope you made them because it is now time for you to use them to restore your computer to the out of the box condition. Try to save whatever personal data you can off to a flash drive, DVD, CD or etc. That is the best help I can provide without having the laptop in front of me. -
Get a copy of the Ultimate Boot CD and run Memtest and the Drive Fitness Test. If they both pass, then just reinstall your operating system.
won't load past gateway logo
