    wow.. interesting performance test from microsoft for browser

    TEST: Flying Images

    > on Firefox I get 20-25 fps with 144 images then starts lagging with more images
    edit: 15 fps with 256 images, ew

    > on IE9 I get max 60 fps with max 256 images

    running latest stable firefox and using at 5650 card

    I have used IE9 when it launched for months and it was very fast but one day it stopped ad blocking so switched back to Firefox and now have my 1 million extensions woo.

    What do you guys get when you try the test and what do you thing?

    I can go up to 256 with chrome but it goes to 30 fps, IE9 32/64 bit gets 60.
    It might have to do with how the html 5 is handled.
    I'm pretty sure as fancy as those images are, those arn't considered 3d so the graphics card plays no part... its probably just CPU.
    General usability of IE9 pales in comparison to chrome/ff though.

    I get with both FF 7 and IE 9 (32bit) 60 FPS and 36 images.

    The point is to increase your images to the point where you see differences :d

    Whoops didn't get that :D. Ok then, IE 9 (32 bit) 60 FPS 256 images, FF7 same.

    IE10 on Windows 8 gives me 30-40FPS with 256

    Chrome 15 on Windows 8 gives me about 45-40FPS with 256

    it does not need to be 3d to be on the graphics card. everything on ie is done on the graphics card. your whole desktop lives on the graphics card.

    A test that is released by Microsoft seems to get better results in IE9? Chop off my legs and call me stumpy, I can't believe it!
