Are you sure the upload speed in chrome is displayed correctly? Software is not always right, I've seen NewsLeecher, for example, to show 5Gb/s download speed for a 6mbit connection...and of course these 5Gb/s weren't real.
Chrome cannot speedup your upload speed, especially not 4x. This sounds like a Chrome bug ;)

    Agreed.

The upload speed calculators you typically see in a webpage are javascript files that try to measure upload amounts over a span of time then calculate from there.

It is harder to do accurately on really small files and the speedup in Javascript in Chrome could be buggy for the site's script.

Can your line upload at 900K a second? That would be near 5 megabits upload speed...

well i can say for sure the file that is 200mb uploades at least 5-6 times faster than it does in ff... so yeah its 100% for sure that much faster it took over 30 min in ff and about 17 in chrome for the same file

    i have a 20down 10up line

Then something should be wrong with FF..something is limiting it. It makes no sense a browser to give you 4x times faster speed than other browser. Try in IE.

Chrome is your basic browser without add-ons while FF3 is bloated with extras.
