Boy, I thought it was going to take another year and a half for Vista 64 to become mainstream. Seeing as the local Best Buy carries at least three laptops with x64 Vista on it, I was sorely sorely wrong. Time to jump on the bandwagon!!!!!!!

Circuit City sells "custom" desktops with x64 ultimate installed.
-
What did they do, upgrade then RAM?
-
The future is already here!!! I can see people grinding their foot in the ground and saying "I'm sticking with XP."
-
Hehe, it is actually a "custom" computer. It's not a name brand PC. It's just a bunch of parts thrown together to look real pretty and cost more than what you would probably usually spend on them. But it came with x64 Ultimate

all destktops and notebooks at best buy with 4 or more GB of ram come preloaded with x64 vista
-
Yup I just recently got Gateway T-6836 from best buy for $649 on a special sale(no longer) they had.
Vista 64 bit w/ 4GB is so reliable that I didn't even do a clean install, which is usually the first thing I do when I get a new PC. I just uninstalled the things I didn't want and cleaned the reg. Haven't had one hiccup yet.
It makes sense, why would a store sell 4GB on a OS that can on see 3GB and have customers flood in with complaints. -
You take it home and then...
"Oh crap, the processors not in right!" -
Dell doesn't seem to care -
I bet Dell tries to sell a complaining customer Vista 64bit.
x64 Vista preinstalled
