I'd also recommend waiting for the official release. Even if it is faster, you probably won't notice it just from running it, and any time saved would be countered by the time it takes to uninstall the release candidate. I ran Vista SP1 Beta for a short time in early December, and there's really nothing that great about running a beta release candidate of an OS.

Unless there's something it's supposed to fix that's causing you trouble right now in XP SP2, I wouldn't get it just for the sake of getting it.

i'm also using it.. i don't notice much of difference either in day to day usage. bringing up files, folders, and programs seems to be faster. it also has a lot of bug fixes.. bugs that i never encountered to begin with. so i can't really say if they are actually fixed. it is running smooth though

probably just wait for the official release

Apparently a 10% speed boost has been noticed. But in real world use, 10% isn't a noticeable change. You'll only see it in benchmarking.

I've been using it for kicks on my 500m. No problems whatsoever, though it doesn't really feel any faster... but then again it doesn't feel any slower either.

One thing I did notice is that they changed the Remote Desktop client. I think it's real similar to the Vista version now. Don't know about the host end, though.

Probably not worth the download unless you have a real need for something included... like a Vista style remote desktop client...

Vista has SP1, XP has SP3. I heard the final release is coming out soon so don't bother dl the RCs. I tried both and don't really feel any significant speed boost. Maybe when the final release comes out I will.

I've had this for awhile now, but I'm still waiting to install over Vista since I don't want to lose all my stuff :(

I found that in optional updates on Microsoft Update. I've never used the program, but it does indeed look Vista-like.
