    xp/vista bootmenu help

    so i installed vista first, and then decided to install xp... but now it always boots into xp and doesnt open or give an option to boot into vista... is there away to edit boot menu etc..? :/

    is there a way to do this without downloading that program?!

    I don't know..But why you don't want to download the EasyBCD? It's used only to configure Vista's bootloader. Then you can remove it.

    Edit: Vista BOOT MANAGER manual config. Check this page, although I don't recommend manual configuration in this case though.. :)

    I actually cannot remember how I used to edit the boot menu....
    have u tried pressing F8 ~~ does it show anything apart from XP on the boot screen..??
    u may edit the boot.ini in XP from here....

    That is one crowded desktop right there :D


    You need the Vista DVD to perform a repair on the boot record(the dvd should have a repair Vista option) and after that use EasyBCD to make them both visible.
    Funny that I have the same issue at the moment,but lacking a vista recovery thingy...

    The repair option on the vista dvd didn't work for me. Just enter the command line and use /FixMbr to repair your mbr.
