    hello, xp-antispy is a nice tool to deactive some useless stuff of windows.. i use it since win xp and it has some rly nice features. maybe u wana try it. an update which offer win7 support got released yesterday:

    I've never heard of this xp-antispy until now. How are the resource usages?

    u start it once.. it doesnt run in the backround.

    e.g. u can set up like "show all extension", "disable wmp to download codec automatically" , "disable to wmp send data to microsoft" etc etc :) and then u click on "do it" and id changes it.. never need to start it again except u want to chaneg smth again :)


    it is pretty old.. since xp.. and many ppl use it.. but it was german only for a long time

    ye now its also avi in english and other languages :)

    its just an easy tool to change settings. and there are really usefull settings. in xp it was mostly a tool to prevent xp to be a spy for microsfot .. thats why its called antispy i guess :) It turned of all the stuff where xp sends information to microsoft.. or where xp downloaded automatically some stuff. but now there are also mayn other tools.. like msn wont start with outlook, or uninstall msn, change remote on/off , show .lnk extensions, etc etc
