    Anyone ever heard that before?

Were these same people bred from the same people who buy BF2142 and disable all their firewalls and secuirty hotfixes?

I don't understand why you would need a firewall to protect yourself from microsoft, even if you pirated XP.

I am not sure what they are asking. Are they talking about the WGA notification tool that will pop up if you don't have a validated copy of Windows XP? I know that MS comes out with their new legitcontrol.dll ever so often, approx. on a monthly cycle with most of the WGA updates. Is that what they mean? Then it would be an issue of not installing the updates, but then you have a crippled version of XP since you can't receive the updates, although I've read that Microsoft will continue to distribute their critical updates without the validation processes. Something about not wanting a large portion of the world's computers to be attacked.

No offense, but this is not an appropriate topic for the forums. I understand the curiosity behind the issue, but NBR does not support piracy or methods to avoid getting caught with illegally obtained software.
