    Uhm... clock?

    :D

No, really, I guess gadgets are nowhere as successful as Microsoft thought they would be.

that was known right from the beginning, years before apple, google and microsoft "got them". even with the yahoo widgets, they where mostly funny chaotic things that you could stick around and say "look, i have a cloud on my desktop, that mean's there's no sun outside now!!" (while the sun was shining on a blue sky outside of the window... :)).

but people like them for the "personalisation" of their os. they can place it where ever they want.. :) it's.. shiny :) and colourful, and unorganised.. it fits perfectly on the desktop :)

at least, unlike vista, they're not enabled anymore by default.. stupid sidebar :)

XWindows widgets on Solaris and AIX and IRIX pre-dates all of this nonsense by a decade or so.

    heh possible :)

i now have gadgets on my xperia thanks to spb mobile shell 3. but there, they're actually useful (sort of nice shortcuts with some additional info mainly, and visually attractive and quick to determine which is what).

What is that bottom gadget you are using? Looks pretty nice.

I need a new weather gadget myself. The one I am using tells me I need to check my internet connection. -_-

I am also using the Pandora widget, Dictionary widget, and a moon phase widget.
