is it worth downloading, freebie version? i have it for xp and it's great. trying to find reviews for vista by googling it and no luck. Is there a better firewall protection for vista than Zone Alarm?

    thanks

Don't recommend ZoneAlarm for Vista, had lots of program incompatibilities for me and wasn't 100% effective for all its problems. Currently using the latest vista release for COMODO firewall and am accustomed to it now. It is less user friendly than ZA but compensates by doing a much better job for your system.

is it better to buy a firewall package out there instead of using freebies? if so, recommend any?

personal take = no (freebies currently r doing a dandy job with my comp)

personal take again, xp and vista:
    . comodo and avast
. was using ZA and AVG for a while, but co+ava combination currently works better for my environment

    cheers ...
