I know there are the USB-VGA/DVI adapters....but was wondering if there is a better way to have a 3rd display on a Dell laptop.

Or maybe there is a laptop that supports dual out + output from the HDMI? Ideally like to hook up 2 LCDs + a TV.

    Thanks for any input!

That will do 2 displays. Unless I can do HDMI out plus the 2 from a dock. Anyone know?

The M6500 with the ATI FirePro M7820 GFX card, supports 3 displays. This is done with the system plugged into a E Port Plus dock. 3 external displays or 2 external and the notebook LCD display.

This may or may not be a practical solution for you, but if you don't need the latest and greatest, the bigger of the two old D-Series docks let you install a half-height PCI video card inside the dock, I think from which you could run additional displays.

Of course you have to find a D-Series Latitude with which to do this, which you may or may not want to in this day and age. But just a thought.

You can also always use one of those Matrox splitters, but if you don't want to use the USB to VGA adapters, I'm guessing you don't want to use a Matrox splitter either.

I was looking at the Matrox TripleHead2Go and it looks like a plausible option. I'm wondering if anyone has used one of these. Just not sure if it's totally for gaming.

The Matrox isn't targeted towards gamers.

In doing some research, every review I have seen shows people using it for gaming to get the big wide gaming experience.
