How many wires is attached to the wireless card on the vostro 3400? I dont which card new card should i buy the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 or Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200. If it has 3 wires then i think the 6300 will be the better choice to get. Please help

naph: please re-read my original post since i dont think you clearly understand my question

I ordered a vostro 3400 so i am unable to check to see how MANY wires it has for the wireless card. I manage to find a laptop part site that shows the wires of the antenna and it seems to me that there is only 2 wires that connect to wireless card. Dell service manual suggest the same. However, according to dell it shipped with a a/b/g/n card and some searching state it is a Dell Wireless 1501 card. So all in all, i want to know does this laptop have 2 or 3 wireless antenna that connect to the card since when i ebay for a dell 1501 wifi card i see a wireless card with 3 connections but the middle one is covered with black tape.im confused on which card is the better one to buy considering the 6200 is about 10 bucks then the 6300. If the laptop does indeed have 3 wires then i will like to get the better 6300 card otherwise i will just stick with the 6200. I do run a wireless N network and if this laptop dont have the right wires for the N network then i perfer to get a non-N card

It is most likely a Dell 1520 a/b/g/n card with 2 antennae. However i havent noticed much difference between this card and a Intel 6300. In fact i was pleasantly suprised by the 1520 WLAN half mini card. :)

My Dell E6410 has two wires connected to the Intel 6200 wireless card (a/b/g/n). However, a third antenna wire is available for use with the optional 6300 wireless card which can, in theory, delivery a higher throughput (router permitting). More details at Intel.
