    Hi guys,

I have a Dell Latitude E4300 laptop that came without an integrated camera.

I am thinking of adding a camera to this laptop by ordering:

    a) A new LCD Front Bezel and rear LCD cover
    b) a Dell camera

I would love your advice on the following questions:
    1) Is this possible?
    2) Do all E4300s have a slot for adding a webcam on the mother board?
    3) Will I need to update the BIOS or anything else to enable it?

    Appreciate your help with this.

    Thanks

AFAIK you don't need a rear cover.
I only need LCD front bezel and camera module for my vostro 1400,
the camera cable is already there so you just need to replace the old module (mic) with new one (camera) and put in front bezel with camera port.

    Thanks.

So does the camera have the mic as well generally or is it a question of having one or the other.

Did you have to do anything with the BIOS when you added the webcam?

the camera module should have mic also :)
I didn't update the bios and it runs fine.. I think you don't need to since Dell is selling both models (camera - non camera) at the same time
