    The certified Samsung SSD's pinout against the 50/70mm Runcore ProIV mPCie SSD to see if they are compatible. The 50mm Runcore uses the Indilinx Amigos controller, the 70mm uses the faster Indilinx Barefoot.

    Just an FYI, I have one for sale. Its a64GB Dell SSD that works with the M6500 and M4500.

    ddk632 was right, both M4500and M6500 require 50mm SSDs

    And there are no suitable alternative yet. The best bet is ebay where you can catch the occasional 64gb samsung for about 200$.

    Unfortunately the M6500 only has the 50mm slot for the mini pci-e card; I imagine the M4500 is the same.

    i.ve been wondering would a such ssd work in any laptop or only in the specific m6500 ?

    It's specific only to these Dell machines so far since they have connected an I/O controller to their miniPCIe slot.
