Was looking for a new 9 cell for my Latitude E6500 but dell wants an arm and a leg for it. I know the docks sometimes go cheaper at third parties. Any suggestions for a battery?

Just look on eBay... the people who are selling genuine batteries will have them listed as such. If a seller lists a genuine battery and you get some fake thing, Paypal will almost certainly get your money refunded.

If you search ebay you can find a few sellers that sell lots of different Dell stuff- motherboards, screens, etc. They should have the genuine batteries.
