I have posted alot on this subject but this is my last stand before i purchase. Any one have both latitude e64xx and e65xx? If so can you tell me if you think either is too big or too small. Any other comparison info will be greatly helpful.

I do not personally own an E65xx machine but I have used plenty and my mom has an E6400 and I use it frequently.

The E64xx series are lighter overall but really depends on the specs. My mom has a 6 cell battery and Intel IGP graphics so it comes in little under 6 pounds? Also has 1440x900 screen which is very nice.

The E65xx offer the same thing as E64xx however is significantly heavier, though all depends on the specs. But the E65xx offers much higher resolution screen.

You also had another thread on this...against forum rules..

Get the smaller unit unless you need maximum screen real estate for graphics work and/or you do not intend to carry it around.

The E6400 is a perfect size on the small end of the scale. So, you only need to decide if you need a bigger screen for your intended use. And get a backlit keyboard.

I dont intend to move around with it in terms of travel but I will be lugging it around the house alot. I like to watch movies in bed so it will be going back and forth between my bed and desk.

Ya once I decide between the two I am going the outlet way. I am leaning toward the 6410 because I have never had a laptop that small. Just hope im not missing alot by not getting the 6510 with FHD for all the movies I watch. Im going to wait for those 25% off coupons then get myself one. The included 3 year warranty is amazing!

I would go for the E65xx mostly because of the screen real estate if your willing to pay for the FHD screen.
    Otherwise just go for E64xx.

Unless you live in a humongous mansion, these are going to be short distances and so weight doesn't really matter. For the purpose you listed, my personal preference would be the E6500 with 1920x1200, followed by the E6510 with 1920x1080. When watching movies, a bigger screen is better than a smaller one!
