Battery for Dell Precision 4300

Battery is completely dead, no charge, have to keep it plugged in to stay on. I bought a battery at batteries plus because I needed one asap, well for some reason that battery made my monitor die when it was in. Once I took the battery out monitor was normal. I don't really want to buy off dell as I'm not looking to spend that kind of money for a battery. Just looking for a battery similar to the one Dell provided, if anyone knows where I could possibly find like similar to that. 11.1 Vdc, 85Wh, 9 cell Li-ion battery, I keep seeing one's that 'work' for Precision 4300 but are $30-$40 which I seem kind of skeptical of. Just needing input on what to look for and where from one's around here who know a little more about this than I. Thanks

 

I would return the aftermarket one you got and check Ebay for a genuine Dell one. As long as the description says Dell OEM or Dell genuine, you should be OK. I've gotten E4300 and E6400 batteries for less than $40 and all were fine, there doesn't seem to be too much demand for them.

 

Can seem to find anything for a dell precision, for 4300, battery on ebay. Anything specific I need to search for? Any other place I can look? Thanks
