    hello everyone!
is it okay to buy a certified refurbsihed m6400 from dell? as in how will the unit be...no problems or anything? does anyone have any experiences with refurbished dell notebooks? .. i am in the market for a m6400 but its kind of out of my budget :( so i was wondering if getting a cheaper refurbished one would be a better option!

I would say it's ok, but prepare yourself for some troubles. I am on my 2nd repair, and my machine is going back to be replaced by a new one. I've owned it for 3 weeks.

I think once it's sorted it will be ok, but it's no fun. I would think as long as you have the time and patience, you can either get it right from the start or eventually with repairs get it into shape. They have definite QC problems on this model.

if you're lucky then you will get a "new" notebook or a canceled order. if you're unlucky, you will get a returned notebook (possibly defective but dell fixed it).

I'd give it the thumbs up. If you do get unlucky and your laptop comes with some type of defect or missing parts, Dell is usually kind enough to express ship you replacement parts at their cost. Furthermore, if you're still not satisfied or a larger problem exists on your laptop, Dell can send you a replacement unit.
