I have E6420 and want to update from original BIOS A04 to A05 despite hearsays that it is problematic since i hope some problems and severe interrupts when in Turbo Boost will get fixed.

How can i backup original BIOS my laptop came with just in case A05 won't work for me as expected?

    Thanks.

Thank you. I have bought my model in USA, but you sent me to UK DELL support website. Does the country matter here? Should i get BIOS from DELL US website or UK website?

The country doesn't matter. The A04 on the link is the same as the A04 in your laptop.
