I don't like the Dell Wireless card with the Blurtooth module in it. I want to get an intel wireless card that doesn't have bluetooth. Can you install any intel wireless card into a vostro laptop like the V13 or V130?

Yes, just make sure you get the right size wifi card (half or full height wifi card)

I just checked and its HALF size. But it only has 2 wires on it. Don't some wireless cards have three or so? So I need to get one that only has 2? I'd like to get either the Intel 5100 or 5300. Also the Dell has the bluetooth but as I wondering if that is built into the wireless card or is it a separate card? I opened the back of the laptop and only saw the half height Dell Wireless card..

There seems to be only one wireless option for the V130, which is the "Dell Wireless 1702 802.11n/BT3.0 Combo". Most likely both elements are built into the same card. If such is the case and you replace it with a 5100 or 5300, you will no longer have BT functionality.

Some wireless card do have connections for three antennas, but will work fine with just two. The 5100 has two connections and the 5300 has three.

No reason the 5300 shouldn't work... your link is hella overpriced though; you can get 'em for half that on eBay.

Bluetooth can be disabled in the BIOS.

V130/V13/Latitude 13 are all built on the same chassis, just the Latitude 13 doesn't offer the single core Celeron and Ubuntu.

AFAIK Dell doesn't offer a non-Intel wifi card for the Latitudes, Vostro maybe different but just pick up a Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN, they are like 25-30 dollars. It's same size as 5300 but cheaper and nearly same performance..

I was going to do that but this place only has the 5300, and its only about $10 more. They open at 10 am so I am heading over their to pick it up. And am I correct in assuming that I hook up the left and right port and leave the middle one alone? Since the 5300 has 3 ports...
