After about a day of use my laptop's sound will no longer work, YouTube videos will no longer work(they skip to the very end, or how far the video's loaded), and media players will no longer work(I'll play a song in iTunes and nothing happens, the bar showing the progression of the song stays still, not giving the audio a chance to play). As soon as I reboot my system it will work again for about a day, then do the same thing. What's up?

Did you install a good Anti-Virus when you got it? If you decide to restore it, you should install one. I like Microsoft Security Essentials.

Is there anything I can do besides restore?

I don't see that a reinstall will necessarily fix anything so I'd try to pinpoint
the problem. Do you have all the latest BIOS and drivers installed ?

I don't think there's going to be any use in trying to pinpoint anything, the problem is pretty vague. If you are running Windows 7 that has system backup capabilities, I would partition the HDD and make a partition to backup your clean install onto. Making an image will save you a lot of time in case the system has problems in the future. ;)
