    Hi

When AHCI is enabled on a Vostro 3400, is there anything one has to be careful about in doing a clean Windows 7 install? Could AHCI be inadvertently disabled in the process?

    Your feedback is invited!

If you enable AHCI mode in BIOS, there's no way for the OS to disable it.
