I'm looking at selling off my netbook listed in my sig, and a 17" DV8230US w/ docking station to pick up an ultraportable with a bit more power.

I'd prefer a Thinkpad, but found the Vostro for fairly cheap, and the inclusion of a DVD burner would be rather helpful.

Does anyone have any opinions on this? Outlet has them new for $520 w/ 160gb hdd (I'd replace it with a 7200rpm 160), 1gb RAM (replace it with 4gb), and 1397 (replace it with a 5100N).

But, there's not much listed on here about them. Any insights?

I did the same thing. Order 1220 hoping it will replace all other PCs for my needs. I should be able to give some feedback next weekend
