I fresh installed XP on a E6510. On the drivers and utilities disk, section Serial ATA drivers, I clicked on Intel Matrix Storage Manager - Notebooks Rev A06. This gives you ~ ten drivers to chose from. Which one is correct?

Also, in winXP Device Manager, Other devices, there is an Unknown Device listed. What do I need to install to make this yellow ? go away?

Which driver depends on what HDD access mode you have set in the BIOS. However, Windows should be able to figure out which driver to use if given the collection to rummage trough.

If you are installing your own XP then I would suggest that you use nLite to create a custom installation CD including all the relevant drivers plus XP updates and security patches.
