I just got a D620 and installed Windows 7 32bit. All the drivers were automatically loaded but the speakers dont produce any sound. They work in the diagnostic hardware test so its just a software problem. I've tried installing the XP version, Vista version and even the chipset drivers in correct order and nothing. Has anybody ever had this problem, and how did you resolve it? I've put Win7 on a D630 before and did not have any issues like this.

    Thanks

Is sound not working in Windows, or everything?

The diagnostic test checks the system board speaker, not the system speaker. The system board speaker can only beep, it doesn't play audio.

Did you check the playback devices in Sound? Do headphones work?
