    G'day,
Got a Latitude D620 (in sig) and recently after installing Windows 7 I noticed the screen would go all wierd, it would have all lines through it, it would discolour, I don't think I can explain it too well any way, I plugged it into an external monitor, and it works fine. If it need's any fixing, I'm getting rid of it and buying another notebook, unless the display can behave for me to install XP back on it, then it's back in my good books.
Any help would be great. Oh, and before people ask, it has the Intel Graphics.

    Cheers.

It seems to be behaving a little better now after a fresh install of XP. I'll take it into the shop tomorrow and get them to check it out.

Could also be that the LCD cable is loose or you have a faulty LCD.

^ Yeah, could be, because sometimes when I move the screen, it goes funny, and when I open certain things, like the Blackberry Website, WMP it goes funny aswell. Maybe I'll open her up and check out the cables.

I would check out the connections at the end of the LCD cable, starting with the connection onto the motherboard. I've seen this problem appear on a number of notebooks, the first being over 20 years ago when I worked out that a firm push on the external casing somewhere was enough to fix the problem for a while.

This is what I find works too. Maybe tomorrow once I wake up I'll get into it.

Ok, I'm now 90% sure it's an LCD problem, I checked cables, everything! But whne I push up in the top left hand corner of the screen, it goes good again. Maybe I'll buy a new lcd and see!
