Hi, Any ideas why my D630 won't capture video with the firewire port?

I can control play / stop / rewind, etc via Firewire, but the actual video won't show up.

I can capture to another computer, so it's not the camcorder. I've tried another cable and that didn't work either. The Firewire port works fine with an external hard drive. I've also tried a couple of capture apps. Oh and I even disabled a Firewire firewall and still nothing.

I have: Win XP Home SP3, Core Duo 2.0, 2GB RAM, 128MB Nvidia Video; Camcorder is Canon ZR930.

    Thanks.

You might want to try one trick.

Have your DV on and connect to your D630 (off). Then turn on the D630 to make sure the DV is dectected.
