If my NVIDIA D630 was sent in for service and they swapped the motherboard for the Intel video model.... would I need to reinstall my OS? Or just a new video driver?

I'm guessing they might just stick another NVIDIA in but just curious. Thanks!

If you had an Nvidia motherboard, they will give you an Nvidia motherboard. If you complained real hard, I have heard of people getting a swap. If you didn't say anything... yeah, you're almost certainly getting an Nvidia.

In the slim, slim chance you get an Intel board, you should be able to get by just installing a new video driver, but it's typically safer to do a clean install in these cases.

Ok... I got some lawsuit thing in the mail and also wondered if I'd just be better off buying the Intel motherboard and doing it (having someone else) myself.

My video problems were so random that I need to figure it out before my warranty expires.

    Thanks.

Remove old nvidia drivers and run a driver cleaner program. Then install the new intel ones.
