    Howdy all,

    Does anyone know if a "plain-vanilla" D630 mobo (or other D630 boards) will interchange into an XFR D630?

    I have an XFR D630 that doesn't want to start up sometimes.

    Press power button, power light flashes briefly and then goes out.

    It's working right now though (posting this thread)

    Regards,

    Rick

    I would try to diagnose that first;

    Test AC adapter with a multimeter.

    Remove battery and AC adapter and hold down the power button.

    Reseat RAM/HDD

    I did use a different AC adapter when it happened and the result was the same. I have a Fluke 189 and I'll check them both.

    When it happened, I didn't try holding the power button down with no batt or pwr supply connected. I WILL try that if it does it again.

    What does that do btw, other than maybe discharge some caps etc...?

    My next trick was to disassemble and reseat all connections including the RAM. I'll try that too.

    It's a cool computer, Heavy, :rolleyes: but cool

    Thanks,

    Rick
