DC Jack Mount On E6410

    Does anyone know how they mounted the DC jack on the 6410? Is it soldered directly to the board or attached to the frame or body of the unit with lead wire as I believe it was on the 6400.Getting conflicting info from Dell. Thanks

    The service manual lists a step for removing the power jack. It's connected via wire and connector.

    Thanks Robin24 for your reply and the link that let me see it.I'd probably be typing on the unit now if I had been given correct info.Why they could not point me in the direction you did is beyond me,nuff said on that.Thanks again

    This type of information would definately be beyond sales reps' knowledge, you would have to ask technical support about that. That, or ask here. ;)
