Borrow someone's XP installation disc and use the XP product/license code that is on the bottom of the notebook to install. As for drivers, you may find them on Dell's website. If not, simply Google the subsystem* you need a driver for and you should be able to find it.

*Go to control panel, device manager and hit properties for any subsystem which needs a driver and click the details tab. In the drop down box, click hardware ID and Google that for a driver.

For example; HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_103C137E&REV_1002 = LSA Modem driver needed.

Th easiest way is to get a Dell Windows XP Professional discs (I don't think any Latitude D600's were sold with XP Home or MCE) and the Dell drivers disc. If you cannot locate a drivers disc then you will need to go driver hunting like 2.0 mentioned. PCI Database is pretty good.

D600 will have: Radeon 9000 Mobility drivers, O2 driver, Intel 855PM chipset driver, either an Dell or Intel 2200 PRO BG WLAN driver, Broadcomm Gigabit LAN, Conexant 56k model driver are the ones I remember off the top of my head when I redid an OS install on my D600.
