Hello everyone, I am new here and have a couple questions.
I have a Latitude D620 that has a cracked lcd screen. The laptop was closed with the headphone volume piece on the keyboard. The only way I can use it is through an external monitor. I did a search and found different sites selling the lcds for various prices. Does anyone know or have any experience with sites that sell the lcd and other d620 parts.

I was also wondering what are your thoughts on the dell outlet laptops? I will hate to pay $400 for a new lcd when I can buy a new laptop for a few dollars more. Thanks.

So far I love this site and can't stop reading all the different posts. :)

I always buy my parts from eBay these days. It's cheap, and Paypal always favors the buyer. I've never really had an issues as a buyer. You can get a WXGA D620 display for about $75, and a WXGA+ display for a little more.

That being said, my experience with the Dell Outlet has also been positive. As long as you stick with Certified Refurbs or Previously News (as opposed to Scratch and Dents), you're basically getting a new computer.
