    Dell Forum,

Dell Latitude D400, Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

I'm running the Dell Diagnostics in the F12 boot menu and at
some point it asks me for the Dell Drivers and Utilities CD.
Of course I don't have it and can't find any information
about it anywhere. Anyone have any input on this?

    Thanks for any reply.

The Dell Diagnostics discs comes with the laptop, you might want to check your original box.

download the cdd_1284.iso file from this Dell support page. that download should be compatible for your Latitude D400 laptop.

use a CD burning program like Nero Burning ROM to create the Dell 32bit Diagnostics CD image from the cdd_1284.iso file and set your BIOS to boot from the laptop CD/DVD drive so that you can run the Dell diagnostics program from that cd.
